What a fantastic experience! We went on a private tour to three different wine farms, each offering its own unique charm. We started at a beautiful estate where we had the choice between two indulgent tastings: either three oysters with different toppings paired with sparkling wine, or a selection of four nougats with four matching wines. Both options were very nice. Our second stop was a wine estate that was undergoing renovations. Although we couldn’t taste there, we were allowed to walk around the grounds and take in the scenery. Thankfully, our guide didn’t let the experience stop there. He took us to another nearby winery, where we enjoyed a tasting of five delicious wines. Next up was lunch, and it did not disappoint. We had a choice of fish, meat, or vegetarian dishes. I went with the meat option, and it was absolutely divine perfectly cooked and nice presented. To top it all off, we ended the day with a chocolate and wine pairing: five different chocolates matched with five wines. Each combination was unique and incredibly tasty. I found the company Wanderer through a Google search and since it had a great reputation and consistent reviews, I decided to take a chance and book and pay in full for 3 tours while still in Brazil (my home country) and I had no problems. The first tour I did was the Peninsula Tour, this tour took the whole day and among the incredible places we visited, the Cape Point reserve, where the Cape of Good Hope is located, stood out. In addition to the beautiful landscape, we could see ostriches and baboons along the internal road of the reserve. Another place we went was the ostrich farm, where we could see and interact with baby ostriches. Finally, on this incredible day, we went to Bolders, the beach of the African penguins, and saw a lot of penguins up close and from afar, as well as the cute dassies (small mammals) that live in harmony with the penguins. Also on this tour, I would like to highlight our guide and driver Darlinton, who enriched us with information and was kind from start to finish. The second tour we did was the safari in the Aquila reserve, which was exciting. We saw 3 of the 5 big fives, as well as other beautiful animals up close. We had the agency's driver/guide who took us to and from the reserve in a private car, providing us with all the comfort we needed for our trip. And the last tour we did with the agency was Shark Cage Diving. I must point out that Wanderer hires one of the local companies in Gansbaii, which is very well rated and reliable. The trip from Cape Town to Gansbai lasts almost 3 hours and we were able to count on the driver/guide Zinbauir, who drives very well and was very friendly and polite. I would also like to highlight the excellent service provided by Aziza, who was the one who arranged my tours, and the cars the company uses on the tours, which are all of a high standard. EXCELLENTVerified Best tour group Azizi was extremely patient in setting up three days of touring for me. Tashreeq was my guide for the entire time. He was beyond wonderful. He always thought about how close to an attraction he could drop me off. He gave me as much time as needed for each site we visited. Whatever you want, he was there for me. These tour sites all around Cape Town were better than the cruise I took up and down the coast of South Africa. We did a Wine Tour with Wanderers to two of Cape Town's wineries (Boschendal and Delaire Graff). Everything about the tour was fantastic. Our guide, Ronnie, was EXCELLENT. He was friendy, knowldgable and also a good driver. Notably, the car was in great conditions. We enjoyed both wineries very much and got to stay as much time as we wanted in both (about 2 hours each). They are able to tailor-make the tour as you wish, choosing where you want to visit. We wanted to spend more time in less wineries. The reason why not a five-star rating is that they only contacted me with the tour details 10pm the day before. I had to contact them asking for my tour details, so I was a bit worried for a while that my reservation had been lost, which was a bit stressful. After seeing great reviews for Wanderer, I decided to use their services for our small group that would be visiting Cape Town for about six days. Che Watson was great to work with! He laid out a preliminary itinerary early on and then tweaked it to fit our actual arrivals (six people, arriving on two different days). Paying his company was easily done online. His recommended hotels were great properties for us in perfect locations (Radisson Red near the V&A Waterfront and Asara Hotel out in the Winelands). Che planned well for our group (wildlife where possible). When the Kirstenbosch Gardens Summer Concert series was postponed, he came up with a great alternative (private guide in the Garden and dinner at Moyo). This attention to detail and willingness to work with us to match our personalities as a group was greatly appreciated. Our guide Tash was amazing! He soon learned what we liked and tailored our tour accordingly (knew we'd prefer a bit of shopping in Stellenbosch rather than the museum.) We really enjoyed touring with him and appreciated his patience and kindness. We six women always felt safe with him. And he was incredible. He is well knowledgeable with the area and the history of the Western Cape. He made sure our comfort and satisfaction was a priority. I would highly recommend him. We also had the privilege of having the coolest lady guide for a day.Her name was Nuria. She was such a delight.Verified Not happy I rearranged an airport transfer prior to traveling to South Africa with Wanderer Tours. Our flight was a little delayed but they had our flight details so they should have adjusted the time of the pick up. I have written them twice asking for a refund but no response. I had to hire a local taxi to get from the Airport to my hotel. Very disappointed.
