River boat safari
From the water you approach elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile and waterbirds at eye level and without engine noise on land. Photographically it is the strongest part of the day, particularly in the afternoon light.

A river boat safari, an open-vehicle game drive and lunch in one of Africa's great elephant landscapes — out and back in a single, well-run day.
10–12 hours · Botswana from Victoria Falls or Livingstone
Chobe is the single best wildlife day available from Victoria Falls. The park is internationally known for a very large regional elephant population, and the Chobe River frontage concentrates game in a way that makes a day trip genuinely worthwhile rather than a long drive for a thin sighting.
The day normally combines a morning or afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River with an open-vehicle game drive and lunch, plus road transfer from Victoria Falls and the Kazungula border crossing into Botswana.

The drive covers the riverfront terraces and inland woodland, where predators, giraffe and antelope are more likely. Terrain, dust and heat vary sharply by season.
Wanderer handles the transfer from your hotel and the Kazungula crossing. Passport, visa entries and any child documentation must be right before departure — we check your position in advance.
It is a long day with early departure. We usually place it away from your arrival and departure days, and never immediately before an early international flight.
Passport, visa and border queues are central planning issues; KAZA eligibility must be checked.
Where it fits: most guests place Chobe on a full middle day of a four-night itinerary. On a shorter stay it competes directly with the Falls themselves — see the three-night shape or the closer safari options around Victoria Falls.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, and border processing times are outside anyone's control. Visa entry requirements depend on your nationality and on how many crossings your itinerary includes — read the visa and border guide before you plan this day.
Send your dates and party. We will confirm the current operating format, the border position and today's rate.
