3 day Victoria Falls itinerary — the two-country signature.

Three nights is the sweet spot. It gives you both sides of the waterfall without a rushed border morning, a scenic flight and one wildlife or cultural experience, while still leaving unstructured time.

Best for: First-time visitors who want the complete Falls experience and a taste of the wider region.

Three nights is the sweet spot. It gives you both sides of the waterfall without a rushed border morning, a scenic flight and one wildlife or cultural experience, while still leaving unstructured time.

This is a planning framework, not a fixed departure. Every element is quoted against your own dates and re-confirmed with the operator, and the order of days shifts to match your flights, water levels and border formalities.

Day by day

How the days actually run.

  1. Day 1

Arrival and sunset on the river

Airport transfer and check-in, then a Zambezi sunset cruise. If you would rather start quietly, we swap this to a private deck cruise or move it to the final evening.

  2. Day 2

Zimbabwe rainforest and the historic bridge

Guided rainforest walk in the morning, followed by the Victoria Falls Bridge tour with its engineering and border history, and lunch overlooking Batoka Gorge. Late afternoon is free for the town, a spa treatment or the curio market with a guide.

  3. Day 3

Zambia, Livingstone Island and a scenic flight

Cross the bridge for the Mosi-oa-Tunya viewpoints and the Knife-Edge Bridge. In low-water months this is the day to add Livingstone Island and, if the operator confirms conditions, the natural pools. A helicopter circuit fits either side of the crossing.

  4. Day 4

    Choice day and departure

One of a Zambezi National Park game drive, the Boma dinner and drum show the night before, or a slow morning before your departure transfer.

Planning notes

What to know before you commit.

  • Livingstone Island access is seasonal and controlled by the licensed operator.
  • Border crossings need the right number of visa entries — we check this before issuing the itinerary.
  • Helicopter flights are weather- and aviation-dependent and may be rescheduled.

Wildlife sightings, water levels, aviation routing, natural-pool access and border processing times cannot be guaranteed. Where a day depends on conditions, we say so before you book and hold an alternative.
